Cleansing is Messy Business
My first group of Spring Cleansers are off and running. They are eating cleanly, getting active in the beautiful Spring weather and light, and are clearing out the clutter in their minds, bodies, and offices. As they clean, the junk is coming out!
Isn’t it so true that when we clean out our closets, we first make a big mess by taking everything out and throwing it all over the floor? (Then, I usually get tired of the whole process and stop… leaving everything strewn all over the floor for several days until I feel ready to come back to it.) This is what cleansing is like.
Physically… sometimes you feel a little worse, before you feel better. Ouch! The coffee and sugar cravings! How much poop is really in there? (Just a quick apology to my sister that yes, again, I’m talking about poop. Sorry! )
Emotionally… to let go of the worry that I’m going to fail, that taking that risk will be scary, that letting go of that control will leave me vulnerable. First I have to admit that I’m feeling all of that before I can release it. (I mean I’m a tough professional woman, I’m not scared of anything! )
And, practically speaking, there’s just no way to sugar coat it… your refrigerator, closets, and office are a mess. It’s time to block off a few hours, put on some music and finally clean out the mold, mail the wedding gift, and donate that purple blouse that you are just never, ever going to wear. (I totally get it, it was on sale, and it seemed like a great idea at the time.)
But, here’s the good news about cleansing… when you do it on a regular basis, you also get to feel the deep relief, lightened load, and amplified energy that is hidden under all of your crap (literally… sorry sis!)
How would you like to wake up with energy? (How many years has it been?)
How would you like to FINALLY (at least for awhile), let go of the worry about all of those things on your plate that you just can’t do anything about anyway?
And, how will it feel when you saunter in to your clean office, wearing clothes that actually match that you could easily find in your clean closet?
Ahhhh… the relief!
